First-time Guide to contact lenses

Wearing contact lenses in for the first time can be a bit of a challenge. While we try to keep things away from our eyes, it's surprisingly easy to put something in. Many of us forget contact lenses hygiene. It's easy to fall for bad habits to save time and money in a busy daily life, but it's important to nurture your lenses with the care they deserve to keep your eyes happy and healthy.

 

To get the contact lenses in

Before using contact lenses It is very important that you wash your hands thoroughly with regular soap. Rinse them and dry them with clean towel so you are sure that there are no dust, bacteria or make-up on them. Apply both when you put the lenses in and take them out. After use, put the lenses in a clean lens container with lens liquid

  1. Place one at your fingertip and check if it is facing correctly – it should bow upwards, like a bowl.
  2. Have the contact lens in one hand.
  3. Use the other hand to keep your eyelids open.
  4. You should either look directly at the contact lens or sideways.
  5. Then place the contact lens on the surface of the eye.
  6. Blink a few times and feel like they feel okay. If they do not , it is no problem. Take them out, clean them with a lens liquid, and re-insert them after.

 

Hygiene is important to avoid eye infections

The most common symptoms of poor contact lens hygiene are as a result: discomfort, red eyes, and bluniness. If you experience one of these, then it is important to focus on your daily habits and make some changes.

1. Always wash your hands

It is important to be sure that you do not have any contaminants (that's all that you don't want in your eyes) on your hands. Use ordinary soap to wash them, rinse them and wipe them with clean towel so you are sure that there are no dust, bacteria or make-up on them.

2. Do not use your lenses longer than those intended for

It may seem like a good way to save money, or you may forget to buy new lenses, but to use contact lens longer than they are bergnet to can lead to discomfort, or dangerous eye infections. Discard monthly lenses after 20 days; Two ters lenses out after two weeks; and use daily lenses once.

3. rub your lenses with liquid.

Although there are many non-gnubings solutions on the market, it is best that all the taper lenses benefit from a gentle gnub.

4. Clean and replace your case.  Wash the case regularly and change it every three months.
